Privacy

An account (email and password, handled by our authentication provider), your first name, an optional profile photo, your selected gym, your availability and matching preferences, and the help requests you create or accept.

Your first name and profile photo, and — while a request is live — what you asked for and the gym area you set. Your email address, surname and precise location are never shown to other members.

If you turn on device alerts we store a push subscription for that device so we can notify you about your own requests and assists. Lock-screen text is deliberately generic; the detail is only visible once you open MidSet. You can turn alerts off at any time in the app.

Arrival reminders are optional and off by default. If you turn them on, your device — not our servers — watches a 200 m boundary around your selected gym so MidSet can ask once, per visit, whether you’re available to help. The arrival check happens on your device; we only record your on/off preference and the last time a reminder was shown (to space reminders out). We never store a history of where you have been, and an arrival reminder never marks you as being at the gym — becoming available always uses the normal at-the-gym check. You can turn reminders off at any time in Settings.

Only to run the service: matching you with eligible members at your gym, notifying you about your requests, and keeping the community safe through blocking and reporting. We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.

You can change your details, gym, availability and matching preferences in the app at any time. To request a copy of your data or deletion of your account, email support@midset.app.
